This video was created to inspire teachers to use technology more in their classrooms. I,myself, would love to use more, but I have not been officially trained or shown everything that is out there to use. I wish I had a lot more time to explore and practice using all these creative tools. Below I have listed a few questions that you could respond to and let me know what you think.
1. What technology based programs or equiqment have you used in the past?
2. If you had one technological wish for your classroom, what program or equipment would you want?
3. Do you think teachers should be required to take a technology course every three (less or more) years due to technology changing so often?
Bobbie, this was a great video. I still can't get over how both of our videos had the China fact!!
ReplyDeleteTechnology is a vital part of the way we teach today's children. I definitely agree that teachers should be required to take technology courses or professional development. Technology is steadily changing.
I currently have a projector and SMARTboard that I use daily. I have used virtual field trips, Compass Learning and Kids College (which are online skill based games), ThinkCentral (which is an online version of our Reading program. It offers online readings of our stories in our textbooks and digital copies of worksheets for the students) with my class. I also have my students listen to their weekly story on the computer using digital copies of their stories.
If I could have any piece of technology, I would like to have a digital document camera and clickers. I think both would be very beneficial to the class.
